Now that we finally could catch up on some sleep, it is time for a little recap of the last weekend. With over 2.000 of you beautiful people, we took to the streets last Saturday for the 4th Queer Pride Dresden. We are still stunned by all of your loud, colourful and combative voices. Thank you so much to everyone who joined the demonstration on Saturday afternoon, and to everyone who danced with us all night long at Festspielhaus Hellerau afterwards.
In light of the current political climate here in Saxony it is now more important than ever to fight together and support one another. Being out on the streets with you gives us courage and the good feeling of knowing that we don’t have to fight the right-winged threat all by ourselves. “Queer and antifascist – unite and resist” was not only our motto this year, but will remain our maxim for the future. Shoulder to shoulder against fascism!
We’re looking forward to seeing you all again next year on 21 June, 2025 for our 5th Queer Pride! And if you’re now eager to get involved: come to our kick-off meeting in autumn – details to follow.
