November 20th: Transgender Day of Remembrance

On November 20th, we mourn and remember. In the past 12 months, at least 414 trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming persons have been murdered or driven into death out of transphobia. We will not forget them and their names!

And we don’t want to remain alone with our pain, grief and anger. We want to create a moment of remembrance and also give our resistance a strong, collective voice. We are taking the public space from which so many of us should be excluded by force. We will gather at 4 pm at Alaunplatz (Dresden Neustadt).

We kindly invite you and your friends, carers and companions to the vigil. Bring candles and flowers if you like.

There will be space for speeches, writing down the names of the people we are commemorating and a peaceful get-together.
